Fried Peel and Eat Shrimp
This makes a great appetizer or first course at a dinner party, or any festive event.
Ingredients:

1 cup COLAVITA Extra Virgin Olive Oil
2 teaspoons Old Bay Seasoning
1 teaspoon salt
3 bay leaves
2 teaspoons crushed garlic
1 pound shell on raw pink shrimp (41 to 50 or larger)
1/2 loaf Italian bread, cut into small thin rounds
Lemon wedges, cocktail sauce, for serving (optional)


Preparation:


1. Heat oven to 350 degrees.  Place the bread slices in a single layer on a cookie sheet and bake until bread is very crusty.  Remove from oven; arrange on a platter; set - aside.
2. Heat the oil in a deep skillet or frying pan until hot; add the spices (take care as it may splatter a bit).  Add shrimps and cook for 3 to 4 minutes. 
3. Remove shrimp with a slotted spoon to the platter with the toasted bread; drizzle with a small amount of cooking oil.  Serve with lemon wedges and cocktail sauce, if desired. Serves 8 - 12 as an appetizer.
