1. Sprinkle chicken with salt and pepper. 2. Heat 1 tablespoon olive oil in a large skillet and saute chicken until golden brown and cooked through, 4 to 5 minutes per side. Remove to a plate and keep warm. 3. Cut unpeeled pears in half lengthwise and trim. Cut into 1/4-inch thick vertical slices. 4. Heat the remaining olive oil in the skillet and saute the pears for 1 minute, stirring gently. 5. Stir in peppercorns and saute, stirring, 1 minute longer. 6. Place chicken on serving plates and spoon pear sauce over. Sprinkle each with 1 tablespoon Gorgonzola.
