| La Dolce Vita (Chicken and Sausage Stew) |
An easy one dish meal. You could make this in your crock-pot. Place all the ingredients in the crock-pot in the morning; and have a delicious meal when you get home. Follow the manufacturer's directions.

Ingredients:
1 (3 - pound) chicken, skinned, boned and cut into small pieces 2 pounds sweet Italian sausage, sliced into 1/4 inch pieces 8 to 10 small whole waxy potatoes (such as red, white or Yukon gold) scrubbed with skins on 1 clove garlic 1 large onion, thinly sliced 2 large green bell peppers, cut into strips 1 (16 - ounce) can Italian plum tomatoes, with juice 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano Salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste

Preparation:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine all the ingredients in a large Dutch oven or other casserole and cook in the oven, covered, for 1 hour. Remove cover, increase temperature to 400 degrees, and cook an additional 15 minutes. Serves 8 to 10 Per Serving: 492 Calories (59.1% from fat); 32g Fat (11g Sat, 15g Mono, 5g Poly); 30g Protein; 20g Carbohydrate; 2g Dietary Fiber; 122mg Cholesterol; 931mg Sodium.
