Herb Stuffed Bread Roll
Origin: Italian
Ingredients:

1 pound fresh or frozen bread dough (thawed if frozen)
1/3 cup COLAVITA Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1/2 cup chopped mushrooms
1/4 pound chopped black olives
1/4 pound chopped green olives
1 tablespoon capers
2 tablespoon chopped fresh Italian parsley
2 cloves garlic, chopped
4 fresh basil leaves, chopped
1/2 teaspoon hot red pepper flakes


Preparation:


Roll out the bread dough to about 1/2" thickness in a rectangular shape.  In a small saute pan, heat the olive oil and saute the mushrooms until cooked.  Place into a mixing bowl and add remaining ingredients.  Spread on top of the dough, leaving a 1' edge around, then roll up the dough in a jelly roll form.  Pinch the edges and place, seam side down, on a baking sheet.  Bake in a preheated 400 degree F. oven, for about 30 minutes, or until golden brown.  Let cool slightly before slicing.  Make about 16 slices.
